Recently the Duncanville City Council held a briefing session. Several topics were discussed, including the garbage pick up service currently provided by Republic Services. The current contract expires in September of this year. The briefing is attached. I am in favor in continuing the current sanitation service because
- there are a number of homes in our community that sit below street level. Some of neighbors would experience great difficulty getting a cart up to the street from their homes and
- the community would not have to adjust to a different type of service, no changes would be required.

A program is needed like Dallas to assist the homeowners replace two bathroom toilets with more efficient toilets with smaller tanks.
