On Leadership in Duncanville (A Continuing Series) April 24

There’s a question asked to a child:
“What would you like to be when you grow up”?

There’s a question asked on a job interview:
“What do you see yourself doing five years from now”?

There’s an old saying that goes like this:
“When you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

DUNCANVILLE VOTERS:
Here’s are two questions to ask of your candidate:
1. What’s your vision of Duncanville and what specific things will you work toward
so that vision can become a reality?

2. Have you ever been involved in a strategic planning process and what was your contribution?

Claim:  The Mayor states on her campaign website “I have a vision for Duncanville”.

Fact:  In our 2013 Council Retreat, we spent approximately 25 minutes out of 8 hours talking about the future.  This discussion was led by another Councilmember.  The Mayor has never brought it up again…..that is, until re-election time.

Here why this is important:

“Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.” –Walt Disney

BECAUSE…….

“If you don’t know where you are going,
you’ll end up someplace else.”
Yogi Berra

Think about it.
